Worst Monkey King EVER, ok, so who's the worst?

ok, so i did this post with all the monkey king actors the forum allows me. We all now that the best mokey king might be Dicky or Ling Tong, but, how about the worst one? VOTE NOW!

My vote: Russell Wong, from the american version. He is just NOT A MONKEY KING at all. The close second place goes for Wilson Chen. Both of them come from films where the monk (or human) plays the main part.

I agree with you. Russell wong and wilson chen suck. ^___^ They do NOT look like Monkey King at all. Any movies that has MOnkey King as a minor role, the monkey king's actor aren't very appealing. They just don't care who makes the best Monkey King, 'cause he's minor.

I'm gonna go with Russell Wong. Lost Empire was just horrible. It was too boring. Same as well with Chinese Tall Story. Tripitaka has fighting skills hes only supposed to have that luck when hes about to be killed and eaten

Best Monkeys: 25% Ling Tong, 50% Dicky, 25% Benny Chan (I liked him bullying Pigsy ^^)

I wouldn't really know since I have not seen a lot of series.. I can't really Dis Russel Wong tho cause that's how I became extremely interested.. so I actually like that movie.. but if you did not get introduced to monkey from there.. then you probably wouldn't like it.. Tho i find Russel Wong cute as monkey on an attraction aspect(but only as monkey XD). As for monkey antics he could have done better :F That movie would have been better if monkey had a bigger role.. I liked the effects though.

But then I have a huge attraction to monkey soo.. to me anyone who gets to play him is privileged with awesomeness.

Tho I do NOT like the old Japanese series (I know i'm prolly crazy..) and I didn't like the way that actor he looked as monkey.(it could be because of my age tho)... sorry names are not coming to mind. (I tend not to pay attention to actors names much..)

I agree but also I dont like Dicky Cheng's monkey king EITHER!

Plz dont hate me but its because it looks like a guy with MONKEY HAIR. Liu Xiao Ling tong is the best. Also monkeys dont eat bannas in JTTW they eat peachs.

Same with mgfcortez: The reason he likes QFTS is cuz it was from there that he didnt read JTTW but was introduced to it from that show. I didnt like it because of the romance in it.

i didn't much like the romance part in The Lost Empire either... but every movie i have seen has its corny side. Pluss with Quan Yin? ppfftt oh please...it seems as though they did not do so much research on Quan Yin.. (but then i say that in my knowledge i know now..XD)

I liked it cause of the fighting and the magic. I had been attracted to magic since i was really really young.. my father was the one who introduced me to that movie and explained it a bit to me. I knew very little of monkey then. Now I am addicted :F Hes like a drug I cant quit... ::starts shaking::

These days I only watch The Lost Empire untill the monkey scenes dull to almost nothing.. then it gets boring.. and i turn it off...

XD that must be the one on my desk top that my friends roomie just gave me... i watched like not even 2 min of it to see if it worked.. and monkey is cryin like a wuss >.>.. i am making it available for download.. so maybe you can tell me.

nyah! I watched like 20 min and didn't like it at all.. Monkey cries WAY to much in that movie. it was kind of annoying.. that will make the second Japanese monkey king I did not like.. actually this one might be worse i dunno.

I don't like Russell Wong too... And I love Benny and Dicky a lot too.

I only ever watched Monkey Magic which was aired here a few years ago. All my friends think the series was awesome [I'm still trying to get them to watch the CCTV version via youtube]. I think the Monkey Magic series - and the actors - were a cheap Japanese rip-off of the the original.
